What An Exciting Life I Lead!!

Hi There Chickies!!

Nothing exciting going on here.. No fun eats really just typical Meg food and some BBQing yesterday at Adam’s family picnic… I was able to get to the gym today for some SLOW walking on the treadmill 1.25 miles, and some lifting.. But HEY it was something!!!

Learning How To Relax…

UGH I’m so not a fan of not being able to do what I want.. There was no gym today and minimal movement on my part. I took a muscle relaxer last night after dinner with the family and it made me sleepy and sick to my stomach.. oh what fun! Oh here’s a recap of mom’s Birthday dinner… (I started eating my salad and realized I had to take a picture!!) I also had a glass of White Zin but forgot to take a picture.. I was drinking it to make the pain go away…..

I did sleep almost 9 hours though and got up around 8 this morning. Adam was off again today trying to use up some vacay time. We had some coffee and breakfast (I had an apple with cottage cheese and some cantaloupe and then did some errands.

I tried a few samples at Wegman’s and got some new m&ms that are coconut flavor.. MMMM so good! When we got home from BJ’s, Target, and Wegman’s I had a Chobani yogurt with frozen strawberries, blueberries, granola and some Kashi Go Lean. I love this lunch! There was also some diet “crack” since I was in a cranky mood :(

I had some pretzel a bit later while looking for jobs online. OH WHAT FUN! I decided to lay down and read my book for about an hour until my brother called to come over and visit. Once he left I was getting mighty hungry ( I think the stress on my body is screwing me up royally!) I  made a “crack wrap” with garlic hummus and Swiss cheese on a flat out wrap and had some pickles and fries on the side. This hit the spot and wasn’t anything too crazy for my belly who isn’t happy with me and my muscle relaxers…

After dinner we went to Pet Smart to look around and then to Barnes and Nobles (since it was a walk around then sit and read magazines night.. easy on the hipage) I had an unsweetened passion iced tea. SO SO GOOD!!! When we got home I snacked on a piece of Hershey's Special Dark Chocolate.. I had to pick this up last night! It has been my favorite since I was little and would go to my parents’ friends house and they would have the Hershey’s miniatures in a candy bowl. I would always pick out all of the dark ones!!! :-D

I think its now time to take a muscle relaxer and read some more of my book after I look for jobs again.. Think some more were added in the past 3 or 4 hours? Gosh I hope so!!! See ya tomorrow :)

If I Were A Horse.. I’d Be Glue!

Hey girlies.. Well yesterday was a rough day until I took 1 too many Aleve and then my hip was finally feeling better! I woke up feeling ok ate some cereal and had my coffee then headed to the gym.

I barely could make it through 2 miles and had to leave after lifting! I came home and did some abs, and some upper body Wii Active and vegged around. Trying to make the pain go away.. What did I do to myself?!?!?!

I was finally hungry for lunch around 1:30 and made up a yummy bowl of salad. I had lettuce, peppers, cucs, red onion, garlic hummus, croutons, and lots of salsa.. MMM I also had a few Pringles :-D

I laid around for most of the afternoon hoping my hip would feel better since Adam and I were going to the Monmouth County fair at night. Luckily it felt better and we went! We saw the racing pigs (I have to see them every year!!) I pet a baby cow, and saw so many adorable animals! I look forward to going to the fair every year, but feel like such a dork since it is usually families with children. Oh well one day I’ll have a kiddie to take with us!! Dinner was a Genisoy bar in the car on the way there since we are saving $$$ and I wasn’t hungry before we left. We did a ton of walking and my hip felt great! We came home and I was getting hungry so I had a nectarine, some pineapple. I also had a Miller Lite, to take the edge off and thanks to Adam a shot of Baily’s Irish Cream. He was hoping some booze would make me feel better.. hahah

Onto today.. I woke up today and was feeling good, I should’ve known it was too good to be true! I putzed around and finally had some breakfast around 9 and lots of coffee :) same cereal as yesterday (Raisin Bran, Kashi Go Lean, naner, cinnamon, and soymilk).

I did some abs and got ready for the gym, unfortunately the pain was unbearable and I like to think of myself as a tough cookie! I didn’t even do a mile on the treadmill and had to come home to Adam in tears.. He decided I should go to the doctor. I showered and got ready and was off.. Well we got there late and they were about to leave for lunch so we just sat in the car for an hour, as it monsooned! Once I was taken she said she thinks I pulled my hip flexor? I was given some Muscle Relaxers and was told to rest.. UGH! If it doesn’t get better by the beginning of the week I have to go back for X-Rays.. lets hope its better!!! We were going to stop off at the pharmacy on the way home but since it was 1:30 already we were both starving! I made the same bowl of salad as yesterday because it totally hit the spot! MMM I had it with some Crystal Light in my new Riverhorse Brewery glass.

I inhaled this bad boy and might have had a few bites of Adam’s pasta salad too.. ;) I’m now trying to lay low until we have to leave at 5 to get my prescription and head to mom and dad’s for my mom and aunt’s Birthday dinner!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM AND AUNT KATHY!!! We are going to have Cesar salad, lasagna, and cake…. MMM I’m also bringing some TJ’s wine, maybe it will make my leg feel better? Its worth a shot ;) hope everyone’s day is going great! See ya later.

Not A Good Day!

Lets see, I thought I pulled my groin but really think its my hip and barely can put weight on it at times… and my tooth that I got filled last week cracked.. well the filling cracked :( WTF?!?!?! onto eats of the day, which were nothing too exciting from eating way too much the past few days!!

Breakfast was Raisin Bran and Kashi Go Lean with banana, cinnamon, and soymilk. I also had a mug of coffee to perk me up on this rainy day in Jersey.

I did some abs, went to the gym and did 3 miles on the treadmill then came home and did some upper body work on Wii Active. By the time I was done with that I was ready for some lunch. I had a coffee yogurt, grape nuts, and cantaloupe.

I also may have had 2 cookies and some almonds. I showered and job searched then walked over to the school to pick up babysitting money from Saturday. I came home ate some pretzels and watched some TV until dinner time. I had a PB&J on WW with some homemade fries on the side, since I had leftovers from Saturday. MMM Something easy on the belly makes me feel much better!

After dinner we went up to the boardwalk to get in a short walk, since my hip was feeling good unfortunately it didn’t last long…. We went to the supermarket to pick up windshield washer fluid and a couple other things and since I had a coupon for FREE Starbucks Ice Cream we picked up a Java Chocolate Chip Frapawhatever it is.. haha OMG SO GOOD !I had one spoon full and it was delish! I then had a Kit Kat, since I’m currently in self pity mode, with my busted hip, tooth and lack of job..

Funk Land

Hey Girlies.. don’t wanna put ya’ll in my funk but just thought I would check in! Job search=depressing… on a good note we did book our rehearsal dinner site last night! less than 4 months until the big day!!!  Rod's,  here is where we are having it! Sunday Funday!

Today was a fun day out! Adam has jury duty out in Trenton the first week in August so today we decided to take a trip out there to see where the court house was. I also figured since Trenton is close to New Hope PA we might as well make a day out of it :) I unfortunately didn’t get much sleep last night and was up before 7 this morning. I made myself wait until almost 8 to get out of bed and make some coffee. I had a big mug of coffee to get me going and some Dannon Light and Fit with a mix of cereals and some cantaloupe on the side. I also had a huge handful of raisins afterward because it sounded good.

We headed out around 10ish and had a few things like running to the bank and getting a newspaper (job searching). After driving through Trenton (there are some amazing buildings there, even though its a bit run down). Once we got to PA we ran to DD’s to use their facilities…hahha and buy a water. We went to one of our favorite restaurants for some lunch. We got there right around 12 and it was perfect timing! I had a chicken cheese steak wrap with fries and a pickle.. MMM I was craving this knowing we were coming.. haha There were healthier things on the menu that sounded good too, but I had my heart set on this and figured I would not be satisfied if I didn’t get it. Silly me chowed down and completely forgot to take a picture :( I do have half left for din din one night so you’ll get to see it! We walked around and then walked back over the bridge in to Jersey to go to River Horse Brewery, you can get their 4 beers on tap to sample for a dollar!! We try to make it every time we go out that way to try out their new beers. The place was packed since both New Hope and Lambertville were brimming with people! Adam and I split the 4 beers and we had fun people watching ;-) We walked around a bit more saw a rainbowish cloud over church in Lambertville (you can’t really see it in the picture, I used my phone to take it) It was really beautiful though!

On our way home we went to Adam’s mom’s house to pick up our invitations!!!! Its getting so close! When we got home I made up some pasta salad for Adam’s lunch for the week and did some Wii Active. After vegging for a bit we had some dinner. I went light and just had cereal, banana and soymilk. I might have had a couple bites of Adam’s eggs and sausage too!

I showered for the 2nd time today.. lol and now its time to look for a JOB!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone in Jersey now of any jobs at the shore? I hope everyone had a great weekend!!! See ya tomorrow :-D

Friends Make Everything Better!

Well I met up with a group of my friends from High School last night since one of them was in town from Florida with her baby!! :-D We had a nice BBQ and played with babies all night. I totally needed a night to try to forgot the job search I need to be doing. I am babysitting today from 12-6 then coming home for some din din with the sweetie and a nice long relaxing walk on the boardwalk.. I need to try and relax! UGH…

Hey there girlies!

I got some bad news yesterday… I was let go from my job because of the terrible economy! There are only 2 children enrolled for the 2 year old class at the school :( and one is the owners niece! She was nice enough to let me know now and not wait until the week before school starts, so I can look for a new job. What can I do? I’m thinking something food/nutrition related… Any ideas?!?!? I’ll be back to normal blogging by Sunday.. Just wallowing in my funk for a few days… Sorry for the Blah post… just wanted to fill ya’ll in!

Mr.. Sun Kicked My Butt!

Well I was off this morning but apparently my body did not want to listen! I kept waking up and finally just got up at 7:15, got  my lap top and read blogs in bed. hahah Around 8ish I started to get hungry so I made up some coffee and a big bowl of cereal (Kashi Go Lean, All Bran Strawberry Medley, banana, cinnamon and lots of soymilk)

After that I made up some home made almond/cashew butter in my dad’s food processor that I borrowed to make the banana soft serve. I don’t think I let it go long enough but it shut off so many times from over heating (I think this thing is as old as me!) So I just left it the way it is.. It tastes good ;)

I did about 10ish minutes of Wii Active then hit up the gym for a 2.5 mile walk and some weights. I came home put my bathing suit on cleaned up and made up some lunch before my friends came over to go to the pool. I was starving by 12 so I had a nice big apple with cottage cheese. I also might have dipped my spoon in the nut butter a few times ;) A few chips jumped on my plate too! How did they get there?!??!?!

Jamie and Bill got here around 1 and we stayed at the pool until 3. Silly me forgot suntan lotion and didn’t want to walk back to the apartment to get it, so needless to say is that I’m a LOBSTER! When I came back I decided to use up some of my nut butter and made some of Dreena’s You got Chocolate in my Peanut butter cookies! MMM they came out very very tasty!

Dinner was a Lean Cuisine Panini, I can’t remember which one it was, but it had chicken, peppers and a tasty sauce :) I dipped it in honey mustard since I’m a dipper :-P

We had to run to Adam’s mom’s house and to his cousins to give them $$ for the Outer Banks! I can’t wait for vacation, I am in desperate need of one. It gets depressing living at a vacation hot spot! I get very jealous… oh well.. lol  dessert was some more leftover Tasti-d-lite, they only give one size at the place we went to and it is HUGE! oh well I got my $$ worth ;)

Long Day…

I was up bright and early today at 7:30 after waking up on and off since about 5. UGH I had made up a bowl of cereal and then realized my stomach was not feeling it! So I opted for a Luna Chocolate Raspberry bar. MMM I love these things!! This has to be my favorite flavor!!

I also had a HUGE cup of coffee to get me moving. I’m not used to getting up so early these days since I have been going into work at 9 the earliest! I walked to work this morning and tried to stay positive, and it worked! The morning went well and before I knew it it was lunch time and I was STARVING! Once I got the kids to lay down I had apples with cottage cheese, some cantaloupe and 2 cookies ;) Once 3 O’clock I was on my walk home and trying to gear up for the gym. I  had some prunes and some almonds before I left for the gym. I did about 2.5 miles with some pretty steep hills, gotta tone the hiney up for bikini time ;) Once I got home I was starving again and had a few more almonds and grapes to try and hold me over. Around 5:30 I started to get dinner ready since I could not wait any longer! I had a big salad with hummus, green peppers, roasted red peppers, lettuce, croutons, and tons of Newman’s Own Salsa.. MMM I also had some sweet potato fries with lots of ketchup! I think this is one of my new favorite meals ever! I also tried a bite or 2 of Adam’s pork chops from daddy… I love dad’s pork chops cept they are fried and my belly does not like fried anything… or just food in general these days :(

After dinner we went for a nice walk up on the boardwalk before going food shopping. We had some things to pick up for the rest of the week and Shop Rite is having their Can Can Sale so we picked up some canned beans :-D When we got home I had a nice cold Miller Lite and a piece of chocolate to quiet the sweet tooth.

I’m Back!

Hey There

I know I’ve been coming and going a lot lately… I have been totally lacking in the motivation category these days. With not having much work, I’ve been feeling crappy :( There was lots of parties last weekend and this weekend coming up is busy too!

This morning I was up bright and early compared to the times I’ve been getting up lately. I was up at 7:40 and had a nice bowl of cereal (Kashi Go Lean, All Bran Strawberry Medley, cinnamon, banana, and soymilk) I also brought a cup of coffee with me to work on my walk.

I worked 8:45-12:45 then came home inhaled a bowl of blueberries, strawberries, Oikos Plain yogurt, and a bunch of Raisin Bran. I might have eaten 2 cookies too :) (was so hungry I forgot to take a picture)

I then went to the gym right after eating pretty much (note to self not a good idea!!!) I already had a stomachache so this made it 10x worse. I did a quick 2.25 miles on the treadmill and lifted because there was something more important to do today!! I had to come home and shower to get to the tailor for my wedding dress fitting with my mom!!! Once home I lounged on the couch for awhile and checked out favors online for the wedding. Since my belly is so angry with me I decided to have something light for dinner. I was craving Ramen Noodles, so I had the lower fat ones with a slice of melted cheddar cheese to make the broth a bit thicker. MMMM I had the whole package (280 calories, sodium is about 800) I also had some carrots on the side to make myself feel better about this not so great dinner, I had about double than pictured.

After dinner we tried to go for a walk on the boardwalk, we might have walked about 3/4 of a mile or so because the rains were coming! Where they came from I have no idea, but we did see a rainbow over the ocean, and 2 near my parents house :-D That made everything better! Mom and Dad had food for us and cake. So once we got home I had 2 bites of cake and some leftover Tasti D Lite Ice Cream from Saturday.
